Ofsted Inspection
Ofsted Report March 2012-Download full report
Our school was inspected by Ofsted on 29th February and 1st March 2012. The full report can be read via the link above.
The inspectors judged our school to be 'good' across all areas and identified a number of 'outstanding' aspects – for example, all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage and some teaching in the rest of the school. This is a real achievement as in January 2012 the inspection framework was once again changed, making it even more difficult to achieve an 'outstanding' grade. We were also pleased that the children's excellent behaviour – in and out of lessons – was acknowledged, along with the very good achievement of children from a wide range of backgrounds and needs. The inspectors spent a lot of time over the two days trying to understand how our high mobility and the high number of children in the school for whom English is an additional language (currently over 40%), affects overall standards, and it is good to see them acknowledging our success in enabling all children to succeed.
We hope you will take the time to read through the report and note the very many positive comments made. The school is very successful - thanks to the dedication of the whole staff team.

As a Church of England school, we are also required to have a SIAS inspection. Our last inspection took place on 23rd March 2012.
The inspector thought that our school was very special and she judged all aspects to be 'outstanding'. She was particularly impressed with how we nurture and include children of all faiths and of no faith within our Christian ethos and with how all children feel valued and 'loved'. The children were heavily involved in the day of the inspection, and as always they were confident to share their opinions! A small group of parents also met with the inspector and gave their perspective of the school.
Please take a few moments to read the report – it is quite short but is very complimentary about our successful school!
